Our Engagements

Our company, like our forest, is a precious heritage.
We must value them both equally.

At every stage of the manufacture and production process we rigorously select the species of wood, while respecting an ecosystem, our traditions, our identity and the expectations of our customers.

For four generations, FP Bois has passed on its expertise and love of wood craftsmanship to each of its employees. We put the best into our products, into our teams together with our added value: passion.

More than ever, our roots and ideas give us the strength to innovate and succeed.

FP BOIS: A group committed to a better world

At the FP BOIS Group, our commitment to sustainability and respect for people and for the environment is at the heart of everything we do. We firmly believe that business success goes hand in hand with social and environmental responsibility. There’s how we strive to make a difference:

respect d’un écosystème

Respect for an ecosystem

To ensure that our activity coexists harmoniously with the natural balance of the forest ecosystem in the Landes de Gascogne, we use wood sourced from responsibly managed and sustainable forests. Every year, an average of 16,000 hectares are replanted with Bordeaux pine, totalling 20 million trees. The forest absorbs and stores carbon while emitting minimal amounts.

To limit our impact, our unique finishing technique uses water-based products. All our waste is treated and disposed of responsibly in accordance with European standards. In 2020, we developed and applied a new technology to our parquet and panelling ranges: Pure Home®. A real revolution for our homes, the air in the room is purified by eliminating formaldehydes and VOCs. On contact, Pure Home® acts on the bacteria and viruses present in our indoor atmosphere.

Our products are easy to care for and the unique finish offers a balance of performance, innovation and ecological benefits.

Guardians of the forest equilibrium

1. Respect for the environment: We are aware of the impact of our activity on the planet. That’s why we are committed to reducing our ecological footprint. Our products are made from wood from sustainable and renewable sources. We are proud to hold the FSC (Forest Stewardship Council) and PEFC (Programme for the Endorsement of Forest Certification) certifications, which guarantee that our products come from responsibly managed forests.

FSC certification
Created in 1993, the FSC (Forest Stewardship Council®) is an international label guaranteeing that the wood used complies with sustainable forest management procedures.

The FSC label covers issues that extend beyond forests, against environmental degradation, in terms of biodiversity and landscapes, but also against the social upheaval that can be caused by poor forest management. It is estimated that 60 million people live in forests and that 1.6 billion people worldwide depend on forests for their survival.

Forest degradation contributes to the disappearance of thousands of animal and plant species every year, so responsible forest management that respects biodiversity, ecological balance and water resources is essential.

PEFC certification
The PEFC certification programme is based on the sustainable management criteria defined by the Interministerial Conferences for the Protection of Forests in Europe.

For the past 20 years, PEFC France has been promoting a balance between the environmental, social and economic dimensions of forestry through guarantees of sustainable practices and the involvement of 74,500 forest owners and over 3,100 companies in France.

2. Ethics and Social Responsibility: At FP BOIS, we believe that our employees are our most valuable asset. We are committed to providing a safe, inclusive and ethical working environment. We respect human rights and support local communities in the regions where we operate.

3. CSR certification (Ecovadis): Our commitment to Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) is also recognised by Ecovadis certification. This certification demonstrates our commitment to promoting ethical business practices, minimising our impact on the environment and supporting human rights. We are proud to announce that we have been awarded the Bronze Medal by EcoVadis in recognition of our CSR achievements.

4. Bois de France certification: We are proud to support the French forestry industry by using wood from our local forests. The “Bois de France” certification underlines our commitment to promoting national timber and preserving our forest heritage.

5. CTBB+ certification: FP BOIS is constantly striving to improve the quality of its products while reducing waste and resources used as much as possible. Our CTBB+ certification testifies to our commitment to excellence in wood manufacturing. Above all, it means product quality and safety that comply with current regulations. Users can be sure that the wood they use will be well preserved for the performance they expect, and that the use of biocides will respect health and environmental aspects.

We believe that a commitment to sustainability and social responsibility is not only a duty, but an opportunity for innovation and growth. At FP BOIS Group, we are proud to play an active role in preserving our planet and improving the quality of life of our employees, customers and communities. Our vision is to contribute to a better world, a better wood.
We thank our partners, customers and employees for their continued support in our quest for a more sustainable future. Together, we are determined to create a world where people and the environment thrive in harmony.
