 STEP
1
The parquet flooring must be laid on a clean, flat, smooth
and dry floor.

Clean and healthy substrate: Eliminate dust, greasy film,
linting, crazing, oil and rust.

Smooth and dry substrate: Check the humidity level (max. 3%)
and the evenness of the floor screed. Comply with the drying
times (minimum of 2 weeks per centimetre of thickness). |
 STEP
2
You should lay cords of approximately 6mm in diameter on the
floor in parallel at approximately 10cm intervals. The strips
will then be laid perpendicular to these cords. |
| |
 STEP
3
Start laying the strips in parallel to the longest wall and
flush with one of the cords. A 10mm clearance is required
around the parquet flooring. |
 STEP
4
Each strip is fitted into the previous one with a mallet;
insert a piece of wood between them to avoid damaging the
parquet flooring. Avoid walking on the parquet flooring when
laying it. |
| |
 STEP
5
For doorways, lay a strip cut to dimension under the door
jambs. |
 STEP
6
Remove the wedge shims when the parquet flooring is laid (waiting
time: 24 hours). The peripheral clearance will be masked by
the skirting boards. |
IMPORTANT
Wide boards can be subjected to important dimensional
variations related to hygrometry changes.
Open the packaging at least 72 hours before laying
to stabilise the material at a temperature and hygrometry
close to that of final use in closed and heated premises.
It will be laid under the same conditions.
The excellence of parquet flooring, once laid
and over time, is conditioned by compliance with these
instructions. As a guideline, comply with the DT 51.2
standard (NF P63-202). |
